With Father's Day just around the corner, it's time that I talk about tips for offering deals and specials for the big day. For all businesses, big or small, Father’s Day is a good opportunity to market your business.

Create a Father's Day Email Marketing Strategy

Email marketing is a smart idea for any marketing campaign. Once you have nailed down what you have to offer to father’s, you can create an email marketing strategy to stay in touch with them all month long.

Use Personalized Ads

Likely every one of your competitors is going to be advertising their Father’s Day Special. It can be hard for your product/service to stand out on its own at a time like this. One great way to kick your Father’s Day marketing up a notch is to use personalization for your ads. The first step is to identify audience demographics and then from there you can create personalized campaigns to different subsets within that audience.

Add Urgency to Your Deals

Most retailers would want to start their Father's Day marketing campaign a few weeks out. Most people wait until the last minute to shop for Father’s Day. So it’s important that you instill a sense of urgency in your ad creative/copy. If applied correctly, consumers will respond to pressure to make a purchase.

Use Social Media

Social media is a cost-effective way to reach your target audience. There are likely several local Facebook groups targeted to fathers. Join those groups and start or take part in the conversations within the group. It’s ok for you to post sales materials in Facebook Groups, but make sure you are also contributing other content as well.

There are several things you can do to market to dads this Father’s Day. Do your best to make the experience valuable, fun, and easy.
