So one of the best social media tips for small businesses is to host a contest to encourage people to comment on their posts or share photos to be featured. A simple contest like this can be used to build content and elevate your digital presence.

Your Community Deserves Love Too

Do not stop at showing your followers love, spread it throughout the community! It is becoming increasingly important for consumers to only purchase from brands they know and respect. Consider scheduling volunteer time once a quarter for your team members to get out in the community. It can be beautifying a local park, helping at the food pantry, volunteering at the local pet shelter, etc. Either way, you can include more purpose-driven content on your social media pages and enhance your company culture.

Are there any local companies you partner with or influencers in your community with impressive followings? If so, see if the other company would be interested in partnering on social content or sponsored posts - you can benefit from both! Alternatively, offer some free product to the influencer in exchange for a post about it. One influencer post can drive traffic to your online profile and website!
