Tips on Promoting Black Friday Sales

Black Friday is undoubtedly a very exciting, and scary, event for both shoppers and vendors. Exciting because of all the deals and scary because of the sheer volume of shoppers participating in the event. As this important and big day approaches, it’s time to get started on planning your promotions!

Here are some tips to help boost your Black Friday sales:

1. Take Advantage of Sweepstakes

It’s always a good idea to use marketing tools to enhance your campaign. You can try sweepstakes, coupons, contests, and quizzes to make the entire event even more exciting for your audience. You can either use social media, send text messages, or send emails to notify them about your giveaways.

2. Include a Surprise Gift

Enticement and interest are great ways to grab consumer attention. Do this by giving each paying customer a mystery gift with their purchases! Customers adore free gifts, so they’ll be more likely to purchase something if they’ll get an extra treat with it.

3. Try a Scavenger Hunt

Black Friday is a great way to get creative with your marketing. What better way to entice customers than with a scavenger hunt? Simply place an object in your store and create a map with clues for your customers to follow, find, take a picture with their phone, and claim their discount with the cashier! If you are conducting online business only, you can send them on an easter egg hunt.

4. Create a Loyalty Program

If you have a loyalty program, run a special discount for those specific customers who support you! They can prove their loyalty with either a store loyalty card or an email from you.
