Our Last Minute Holiday Marketing Tips

This holiday season may be different, but the hustle and bustle may still have you going in a million directions. Instead of letting your holiday marketing fall to the wayside, read up on our last-minute marketing tips to boost social media engagement this holiday season.

1. Be Consistent

You may be busy with holiday parties, cooking, and shopping, but your social media followers certainly aren’t taking a break from consuming content, and you have to continue to create it -- consistently. We know it can be hard to keep things Kreative, but the holidays give you plenty of material to work off of. From sharing what you’re grateful for (your clients and employees, of course!) to putting together holiday giveaways, there’s no shortage of holiday content to put out during the season. The fact is, if you want your followers to show up for you, you have to show up for them first. Creating valuable content on a consistent basis builds trust and creates an environment in which followers (both loyal and new) will continue to seek out your posts which is a key to social media marketing success.

2. Ask specific questions

When most people are scrolling through social media, they are usually distracted and doing multiple things at once. Sure, they may be doing something else while skimming your post or watching your video, so it is your responsibility to grab and hold their attention. When you ask engaging questions, you prompt your followers to interact with you. People (for the most part) want interaction. When you ask relevant and specific questions, your followers will be more inclined to comment, like, and share.

For example, during your next Instagram live while hyping up your big holiday giveaway, ask your followers what products/services they’d prefer to win and have them let you know by responding to your story. This will build engagement while helping you gauge your audience to ensure you are meeting their demands.

3. Don’t Be Afraid to Have Fun

When it comes to social media, everything doesn’t have to be all business all the time. Of course, a professional and uniform look on your social media accounts is ideal, but your general attitude doesn’t have to be too serious.

Audiences engage with personality, whether it be a brand or person. Allowing your unique personality to shine through will bring in an element of fun, which is especially important during the holiday season. Your followers will enjoy your content more, engage with it more, and learn more about what your business has to offer. The only thing better than more people learning about your business is more people learning about your business in a positive way.

As enjoyable as the holidays are, they can also be stressful. If you are looking for more ways to boost your business this holiday season (and beyond!), click here to contact us. Our team is dedicated to helping your business find digital marketing success!
