The most important and effective tool you have for local SEO is your Google Business Profile. Start by claiming or creating your Google Business Profile. Then, verify your business via phone, text, email, or video. Complete your profile, but don’t stop at adding the bare minimum of information.
Include the following to amp up your listing:
- Full Business Name
- Physical Address
- Phone Number
- Logo
- Photos of both the interior and exterior of your business
- Categories your business falls under
- Attributes, such as LBGTQ+ friendly or veteran owned
- Hours of operation

Monthly additions to your Google Business Profile with updates, posts, and images are necessary. Requesting reviews is ongoing. Submission to directories often requires follow-up.
