How to Be a Marketing Shark

Are You Ready to Crush the Competition This Shark Week?

Shark week is once again just around the corner, marking another 7-day celebration of these incredible creatures that keep ocean ecosystems in balance and take what they want when they want it. We can learn a lot from these clever kings of the ocean – but you don’t need to be a cold-blooded killer to smash your marketing strategy this shark week. Here’s how.

1. Know Your Prey:

Being a marketing shark is all about focusing your intuition. If you want to make it to the top of the food chain, you need to dominate the ocean of competitors by sussing out your prey like a beast. Use all of your senses to navigate the murky, competitive waters and pinpoint who is most likely to be captured by your marketing.

2. Sneak Up On Them:

Sharks make their move when their prey least expect it, so make sure you use social media targeting tools to pop up on their timelines – ready to sink your razor-sharp teeth into their curious side.

3. Go With the Flow:

The most successful marketing sharks know that they need to migrate and go where the tide takes them. So if your audience’s needs change, don’t be afraid to adjust your marketing strategy accordingly. And don’t hesitate to reach out to other businesses to build symbiotic relationships and hunt down your dream dinner (we mean, customers) together.
